There are some Muck Up Day Urban Legends that are so classic that they are repeated timelessly by eager Year 12 pranksters, transforming into rituals. This urban legend is an example of one of these so said rituals:

Wrapped Up Wheels

Urban Legend Wrapped Up Wheels

Unlike many of these urban legends, this tale transpires in the middle of the day, rather than the crack of dawn. At this time the unsuspecting teachers are busy teaching their classes, their cars parked unattended.

It would be at this time that A group of enthusiastic Year 12 pranksters would sneak out into the staff car park. Armed with rolls upon rolls of clear glad wrap, they would begin to wrap the poor teachers cars in the plastic.

There are various techniques for doing so. One, would be the horizontal wrap, which is the easiest technique, and requires only one person. The second would be wrapping the plastic around the mid-drift of the car, underneath the car and up around the roof. Though this way is much more effective than the first, it usually requires two people to make it work. You would need a dedicated squadron.

Sometimes when the students are short on time, or if there is an alert teacher skulking around, they’ll need to select the most practical targets. The principal would be a prime target. If not, a year co-ordinator, or any other teacher who has a habit of giving too much homework is worthy of this prank.

Sometimes the plastic wrap around the car is so thick, that the unfortunate victim has to use a knife pry it loose. One urban legend even adds in the additional coating of Vaseline unto the parked cars, to give it that extra stickness. This is a cheap, harmless prank, that is easy to undertake and can be done anytime of the day.

DISCLAIMER: We are not, in any circumstances, encouraging or condoning this type of behaviour. Your money could be spent on more useful things, rather than a handful of glad wrap rolls (You don’t want to be “that guy” at the check-out). Have you heard anymore epic urban lengends? We would love to hear about them.
