Guardians of the Galaxy is a superhero film based on the Marvel Comics team with the same name. Guardians of the Galaxy has an awesome throwback soundtrack as well as a great cast lead by Chris Pratt and Zoë Saldana. If you’re feeling a little adventurous and curious as to what the gang looked like before they became the saviours of the universe, then read on.
Chris Pratt
Everyone’s favourite leading man and plays Peter Quill/Starlord. Well known for being Andy in Parks and Recreation as well as for starring alongside Jennifer Lawerence in the new film, Passengers.
Zoë Saldana
Sci-fi queen Zoë Saldana plays Gamora. She’s landed film roles in Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Trek and James Cameron’s Avatar.
Vin Diesel
Though he doesn’t make an in-person appearance, Vin Diesel provides the vocals for the most important character: Groot. Everyone knows Vin Diesel for the Fast and Furious series as well as that one where he was a babysitter… It’s admittedly weird seeing him with hair.
Bradley Cooper
Also unfortunately not lending his face to the screen, Bradley Cooper voices a feisty Rocket. He also starred alongside J Law in Silver Linings Playbook. Such an unfortunate hairstyle.
Lee Pace
Pace plays an antagonistic role as Ronan the Accuser. He has had many roles in film, stage and television, one of them being Thranduil in The Hobbit trilogy.
Dave Bautista
Dave Bautista plays Drax the Destroyer in Guardians of the Galaxy. A former professional wrestler and mixed martial artist, Dave has actually won a number of WWE titles. We couldn’t exactly find a high school photo but we hope this one is equally as entertaining.
Michael Rooker
Michael Rooker is Yondu in Guardians of the Galaxy. He is a little less blue than in the movie but you get the idea.
Speaking of Guardians of the Galaxy, the second instalment (Vol. 2) is set to come out early next year (April)! We’re excited to see how the plot unfolds and see more of adorable baby Groot. We hope that this post has served to entertain you and given you a little bit of hope if you’re not a fan of your current school photo.
